Evidence it works
Examples from different labs around the world, as well our own research and development,
to demonstrate how Progenesis SameSpots supports 2D gel analysis. If you want to
share how you use Progenesis SameSpots, let us know and we
can include it here.
SameSpots in action
What can be achieved using 2D and Progenesis SameSpots.
ProteoRed multi-lab 2DE reproducibility study showed Inter-lab
technical reproducibility of CV’s < 20% for top 30 differentially expressed proteins
across 8 labs.
Independent research published in the Journal of Proteome Research
validated the workflow driven approach to 2D DIGE gel image analysis using Progenesis
Results from a ground-breaking HUPO Reproducibility Study, which
used Progenesis SameSpots. Results prove protein expression analysis is reproducible
within and across-labs.
European pharmaceutical company shelved a 20 gel experiment when
images could not be analysed in a realistic time. Progenesis SameSpots took <5 minutes
per gel to complete the work.
Secondary staining, including immunoblots, is used to characterise
proteins showing statistically significant differences. This validation can be easily
added to your 2D gel analysis results using Progenesis
Applications of Progenesis SameSpots that you can add to your research.
Progenesis SpotCheck applied to set 2D gel quality within a lab
and teach novices how to confidently attain this quality before running large experiments
using limited sample.
Analysis of 2D gel images with a Western Blot image enabled direct
comparison of the different spot patterns, confirming the presence and location
of the His-tagged protein.
