How do I export my identifications for submission to PRIDE?

From v4.2, Progenesis QI for proteomics allows you to export your protein identifications for submission to PRIDE.

Requirements

To export your identifications for submission to PRIDE, your identifications must have come from a search performed in Progenesis QI for proteomics v4.2 or later. At present, only search results from the following search methods are supported:

  • Mascot
  • Ion Accounting

Method

  1. To export your identifications for submission to PRIDE, go to the Review Proteins screen and click the File | Export mzIdentML for PRIDE submission... item in the file menu.

The Export mzIdentML for PRIDE submission file menu item

  2. A dialog will appear allowing you to choose which properties to be included in the export. At present this just allows you to include protein sequences or not:

    The mzIdentML properties selection dialog

  3. You will then be asked to choose a filename for your .mzid export. Progenesis will also export an .mgf file containing spectra to the same location.

  4. The exported .mzid and .mgf files can now be imported to PRIDE Inspector and submitted to PRIDE using the PX Submission Tool.
